Karin rolled over to look up at him. "Sure, but from what I sense no one here is a shinobi. They don't have enough chakra and I can always tell when someone suppresses their chakra. It flows differently and only Shinobi can do that." Closing her eyes, she relaxed into the soft sheets. She was pleased with the comfortable nature of the bed despite the village seeming so poor. Then again, this was a major stop route for shinobi passing in several directions. "Have fun." She whispered rolling over, laying on her side, back facing him. Her clothing drifted across her body elegantly making her body appear smaller when it was just the bed that was huge. Her eyes closed as if she was about to sleep, but she didn't remove her glasses.

“Right, just saying if you sense anything give me a shout”, Suigetsu said with a grin before turning and walking out the door. God a swim sounded like the perfect thing to ease all of his muscles. After making his way down and grabbing a towel he was pleased to see that he was going to be the only one at the pool. He leapt in quickly after throwing off his outer layer of clothes. The splash of water felt better than anything else that Suigetsu ever felt. It was like energy was just pouring back into him with every molecule of water that touched him. “Ah, this is what I’m talking about”, he said before going about with some laps around the pool.

Karin opened the window a little because of how hot it was and laid back down on the bed without going under any of the blankets. Closing her eyes again, she laid on the pillows, getting comfortable and letting her body relaxed. Because he was the only shinobi in the area, Karin focused on Suigetsu's moving chakra, using it like a pendulum as it went back and forth through the water. Slowly, it started to put her in a state of hypnosis, which made her drowsy, quickly making her fall asleep. It didn't take her long to wake because something caught her attention. A chakra signal bunching up in the sensitive parts of the body, mostly the Solar Plexus and Heart chakras.

Showing no signs of being awake, Karin waited until he entered the room,her eyes closed. His chakra was different, but she was sure he was a man and that he had weapons on him. It also seemed he was a shinobi from one of the major villages judging from his skill at masking chakra. He was moving into the room and she could hear his breathing, his chakra drew closer and closer to her back.

The information had been precise and accurate. They were both here, whoever was causing all the trouble across the Fire Country. There was something about these guys, what were they doing all the way out here? Karin and Suigetsu had been sold out by Sasuke. They were both wanted for having dealt with Orochimaru. Well dead or alive they were going to suffer anyways. He was going to make a fine earning off of them both. HE watched the man Suigetsu who seemed content to stay in the water. He’d kill the girl first, then try to find a way to harm him.

He slowly crept through the window that had been left ajar. Amateurs. He would make them regret it soon enough. He saw her laying there, looking so weak and helpless. He slowly removed a kodachi from his side, before moving forward to plunge it straight down into her flesh.

When he drew the sword, Karin's eyebrow moved, but it was more consistent with her sleeping than anything else. When he shifted to bring it down on her body, one of her legs kicked outwards and slammed into his chest, knocking him backwards. One of her eyes closed when the blade hit her leg. It was just a side cut, it bleed a bit, but stopped a minute later. Flipping off the bed, Karin picked up the sword she'd gotten through some mystical means. Drawing it, her eyes rested on him behind her glasses.

"Suppose that explains why you broke in. Do you want anything besides our death, or am I just special?" Pointing the sword at him, the blade changed color. A red mixed with the black, swirling around in a non mixing way as if they were two different colors of water mixing in a jar together. Karin noticed, but ignored it, watching the shinobi before them. Despite his high impression of himself, he had an average amount of chakra.

“OOF!”, the man said as Karin’s leg smashed into his chest, causing him to slide back a good deal. Wow, that girl had quite the leg power! He quickly caught his breath as he saw her draw her own sword which seemed to change color. He raised an eyebrow, moving back to avoid any blow she might give at first. “Oh you know, just beat you down, slice your throat and then turn you over for the cash. Konoha doesn’t like you two after all. Your boyfriend out there looks tougher so I figured I’d take the easy kill first”, he said with a smile. “Don’t worry, I will make this quick”, he said before lashing forward, spinning and using the force to try to cut Karin’s side.

Karin glared at him. "He is stronger than me, but you on the other hand are not. You're level and suppression of chakra is almost pathetic. I didn't know Konoha let losers be shinobi. Then again, you're all so weak and pathetic as a collective lot. Have you ever even killed someone?" She herself had killed many times, but for the most part she wasn't one for cutting people up. Her preference was for poisoning them or having someone else do it for her. Holding her sword, she watched him come forward and tried to think of something to do. IN seconds, she figured it was a good idea to meet his blade and push up the blade.

Doing this, she pushed the blade upwards towards his face so it wasn't near her body. Pushing forward, it was clear she wasn't as physically strong as he was. Letting out a short breath, she kicked him again, knocking him backwards. Her legs were much stronger, so she was just going to keep using that to keep him back. Not to mention, he did cut her leg. Swinging her sword at his blade. Much to her surprise, it cracked the blade. Whereas she wasn't very powerful, the sword was.

“Guess we’ll have to see about that girl”, the man said with a grin. She was talking, she was afraid. “Konoha only allows the best to be shinobi, after all you should know after meeting Sasuke. Rumor has it you two had quite the stormy affair going on”, he said with a laugh before Karin moved forward. They exchanged blows, blow after blow until he finally found himself being knocked back, a large crack forming across his blade. His eyes widened as the power of the girl, or in the case the sword was becoming obvious. He sent a kick down at her knee, attempting to make her lose balance before attempting one more slash with his kodachi.

when he kicked her knee, she stumbled, falling onto the ground. She was usually pretty good at keeping her ground, but she was scared. However, his comment about Sasuke pissed her off enough to kick him in the abs as hard as she could and swung her sword as he swung his, making the blade shatter. Even though she was on the floor, the shards fell all around her, but none of them cut her. Struggling to her feet, she stood up with a smile, pointing her sword at him. Now she had a major advantage over him, but she didn't want to kill him this way. Truth be told Karin didn't like blood. As red as her hair and eyes were, they weren't blood. It made her uncomfortable, especially after what she saw as a child.

"What was what you were saying?" She asked dully. "And if that bastard Sasuke picked me to follow him, then you shouldn't take me lightly."

The man covered his face quickly as Karin swung and shattered his blade. Such power! The reports had said that she was a tracker! How could she have this much power behind her blows? This wasn’t looking good, not at all. He took a step back as she pointed her blade right at him. He glanced to his right and found what would hopefully save his life. He leapt to the left, grabbing the Decapitator Knife from where Suigetsu left it on the wall. He tried to use his momentum to swing back once again, aiming to cut the girl right in half with the giant blade.

Karin held up her sword but got knocked backwards into the wall. Suigetsu's sword was much heavier than her own. She had no idea it was so heavy! I had to weight almost as much as her! Leaning against the wall, she panted slightly. What was she going to do?! There was no way she could beat that blade, Suigetsu had supposed almost all of it's weight when they fought and he was holding back. Managing to stand up, she swung her sword at his, trying to find a way to find another weak point in him. Now, she was much more afraid than before.

She was starting to sweat and was worried. Would she die? What would Suigetsu do? Then Karing ot an idea, swinging her sword up to block his attack, she lunged outward to kick one of his legs to make him stumble.

The man’s face went from concerned to a large grin as Karin was hit so far back. So it seemed like she couldn’t handle the strength and weight of the blade. He smiled and grew more confident with his actions, moving forward to slash and smash her to pieces. After this fight and after he took care of the dude perhaps he’d keep it. It seemed like great quality too. He slashed down, hoping to end her in one final attack. To his shock though she ended up blocking it completely. HE growled and stared at her until he felt his knee getting kicked in, causing him to fall to his knees. SHIT! HE had lost his footing!

Karin pushed the blade upwards so it wouldn't impact her. She was more afriad of the blade than of him. he was of no threat, but the blade was a huge threat. Panting,she moved backward so the blade wouldn't come near it. When it hit the ground, she started turned around. He was still up, but he seemed much more annoyed than before. Leaning against the wall for a moment, she pushed off of it to kill him before something else happened. Moving the blade skillfully in a way she'd seen by more than one person, she slammed into the hand that was grabbing the blade, breaking bones and slicing through skin, causing blood to pour down his hand and down the blade. It had been his right hand, which would cripple his ability to fight.

The man’s swings were getting more and more frantic as time went on. Why wouldn’t this woman die!? She was just a tracker! They weren’t supposed to be able to fight! The guy, the guy that was the swordsman must have taught her. He growled in anger and made one last desperate attempt to cleave her in half. He missed though. “GAH!”, he shouted as his hand was completely impaled by her sword. The Decapitator Knife dropped as his hand no longer had the strength to support it anymore. HE crumbled to the ground in pain. Without a hand he couldn’t even use jutsu.

Karin watched the blade fall in front of him as a defense and she wondered what she should do. Now he was defenseless. Was it worth killing him. Her eyes narrowed when she heard Suigetsu's voice in her head. Stabbing forward, she implae the blade deep into his chest. The blade turned completely black, relishing the feeling of blood on it's blade. Then, it shifted and pulsed, ripping apart his lungs and heart, causing blood to spray out of his body. Turning her head away did Karin no good because blood sprayed all over her body, the ground, and the sword. When he fell, blood began to pool onto the hard wood floor; bathing the base of Suigetsu's blade on the floor. All of the blood began to drain from his body onto the floor. Dropping the sword, Karin stumbled and moved backwards.

Without realizing it, she walked into the bathroom, her body completely numb. She turned on the shower and the heat instantly fogged the room.

Suigetsu slowly walked back up to the floor where the hotel was at, deciding that he would check in on Karin and probably tease with her a bit. If she liked he might be able to show her some tricks while they were up. They did get a pretty big room after all. There was enough room to swing their swords around without anyone getting hurt. Of course, right when Suigetsu moved to enter the room he saw a pool of blood. His eyes immediately wandered as he charged in, seeing a dead guy on the floor. “KARIN!”, he shouted before grabbing his blade and running to the bathroom as he saw a light.

Suigetsu held his sword high, ready to cleave anyone that was in his way. He only stopped as he saw the blood on Karin’s clothes and the look on her face. She was bleeding, but all that blood wasn’t just hers. “Karin, what happened?”, Suigetsu asked as he moved forward towards her.

Karin had her head buried in her knees sitting in the shower fully clothed. She'd speared blood all over the wall as well as the walls of the shower. When he entered the room, she didn't even sense his chakra. When he ran into the room, she looked up at him. The water wasn't hitting her completely, but the blood still showed on her clothes. She felt dead inside, but didn't know why this suddenly affected her now. Closing her eyes for a moment, in a long blink, she let out a sigh and cleared her throat.

"U-Um..." she muttered, looking up at him. "I... was sleeping... and he just... came in... and..." She whispered.

Suigetsu had never seen Karin act like this before, it was almost as if she was dying on the inside and knew it. She looked so weak……and not in the physical sense. Karin had never looked intimidating but she held an air about her that made it so no one would mess with her. She led a jail and people learned to be afraid. Now, she just looked like a lost kid again. Suigetsu didn’t even know what to say at first. He slowly rested his blade down and moved forward to look at the partially wet Karin. He just looked at her for the longest time, wondering what he could even say at this point.

“Karin, it’s okay”, he said slowly. “You beat him. HE won’t ever hurt you again. You proved you were better than him”

Karin felt his hand touch her body and it made her wince. There was silence for a while, just the sound of water pattering against the ceramic floor. Closing her eyes, she felt light headed. His voice made it's way through the fog. Opening her eyes, she looked up at him, nodding slowly. "Yeah... I won.. b-but..." Her head leaned against the wall of the shower.

It felt like her brain had been put in a blender. She couldn't even see his chakra. Somehow, she moved closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder, shifting so she was sitting on her knees rather than on her butt. Leaning forward, she held onto his shirt, hiding her face in his shoulder.

Suigetsu just tilted his head as she never finished her own sentence. Something was bothering her, probably how close up the kill had been. Depending on what was punctured a kill could be a pretty horrifying thing. Suigetsu had become numb to it a long time ago back in the mist. When you carried a sword like his things were bound to get ugly after all.

However, what she did next just made Suigetsu’s eyes widened. She moved forward and actually knowingly rested her head on his shoulder. What was she doing? Was she that upset to the point that she’d touch Suigetsu himself? He glanced around for a moment as if wondering if this was a trap. Slowly he raised an arm and wrapped it around her, wondering if this was the right thing to do or not.

Karin closed her eyes when she rested her head on his shoulder. The brace of his hand on her back made her move closer to him. Her chest rested against his, arms holding tighter onto his shirt. Then, she started to cry soundlessly. Unlike most girls that screamed and bellowed, she did neither. The tears just gathered in her eyes and slid down her skin, dripping onto Suigetsu's clothes. Her red hair had grown much longer than it was before, however it was cut much the same way. As they had been walking, it had been tied in a ponytail, but now it was loose, hanging around her face, sticking to her clothing because it was wet.

She was moving even closer now, this was definitely not the Karin that Suigetsu had known for so long. This incident was affecting her deeply. The brutality of a kill like that was probably affecting her very brain. She was strong, she would make it through though. Suddenly Suigetsu felt water hit his skin lightly and he glanced down to see tears. That REALLY surprised him. God she was such a mess. He wrapped a second arm around her and held her close, his head leaned softly into hers as the shower water continued to hit them both. “It’s okay…….I’ll protect you now”

Karin smiled when he said that he'd protect her, and his holding her made feel much safer than before. Her eyes were already closed, but she didn't cry for that much longer, and it didn't take too much longer for her to shift. Picking up her head, she looked up into his eyes. "He used your sword." She whispered. Moving, she motioned to stand up but didn't get very far. The cut on her leg looked much worse because of the water, making it seem deep when her skin was just starting to wrinkle a bit. "I'm tired.." She whispered, trying to stand up again.

Suigetsu just gave a nod as Karin mentioned that the guy used his sword. Probably not that well though, Suigetsu could have taken Karin. She was lucky, she was still cut up when she had one of the Seven’s swords. IF that guy had been a professional there’d probably be a different body on the floor. She didn’t seem to have the strength to stand due to the cut on her leg. He slowly wrapped his arms around her and lifted her up, using his amazing strength to make sure nothing was required of her. HE slowly moved up and out of the bathroom towards the bed before laying her down. He closed the window, before wrapping some bandages around her cuts.

After that he slowly put a blanket over her. “Can you sleep Karin?”

He picked her up and brought her to the bed. When he laid her down, she closed her eyes. Her body was still fairly numb, she didn't even know she was all wet. Closing her eyes she started to doze off. By the time he asked the question, her body was already relaxed and she was breathing evenly, slowly falling asleep.
