Suigetsu just watched as she walked off. Hmmm, so she wasn’t as hard up for money as he though. “Hmmm, perhaps I should’ve done that AFTER she told me where this dude is”, he remarked with a sigh. She was right, he did need her. He was just tired of her bashing how unimportant he was when he could snap her in half. She didn’t respect strength, she respected uniqueness. Suigetsu was about to just lay down and not bother chasing after her when a glint of light caught his eyes. Sword, and it looked familiar. He slowly got up and followed, wondering what on earth that was.

As he approached he saw someone approaching Karin. Yes! It was what he thought it was. “Hey buddy, nice sword”, he said with a grin. “Not quite as nice as mine is though”

Karin eyes scanned the area and she felt even more angry than before. Suigetsu was approaching her and she just ignored him. She took off at a run, something he'd be unable to do being as tired as he was. After she made it a good distance she slowed down. Well, one thing was for sure, she had ten times the stamina Suigetsu had.

The young male turned around with a cunning grin. His teeth were pointed, but they weren't naturally sharp as Suigetsu's were. They were now, but that's because he had them forcefully sharpened. The seven swordsmen all had sharp teeth and he did not. The sword of the shortest member was on his back. He himself was shorter than Suigetsu, but taller than Karin. His teeth showed as he grinned. "Hey, what're you doing here?" He asked, crossing his arms.

Suigetsu glanced over as Karin continued to run off, just like a coward. He smiled before turning to the man that had one of the six other swords that needed to be in his possession. “Oh you know, hanging out, murders, espionage, all that fun stuff”, he said with a smile before his eyes gazed down at the blade. “Listen, I’m sure that you’d rather not fight me and I can’t really blame you. Just put the sword down and no one has to get hurt okay?”, he asked with a smile. “Come on now, you know that you can’t hurt me with that thing. Hell, you can’t hurt me……no one can after all”

Now, he started to laugh at Suigetsu. "What, you just expect me to give it up after I fought for it? Get real, Idiot, I'd never throw it away for a loser like you. Everyone knows that you did something besides train with the seven. There were rumors that your liquid body makes it unisex. Heard there were some favors floating around." He shifted, but didn't grab his sword. "You have what I'm looking for, and you're fiery girlfriend is heading right where my minions are waiting for her. If you don't give me Kubikiri Hocho, I'll kill her. Slowly and painfully."

Suigetsu’s calm grin quickly vanished after the man made his comments about Suigetsu being both genders. “Well than if that’s true I guess you’ll have the embarrassment of being killed by a woman huh?”, he asked with a smile. “After all, can’t really make insults once you’re head has been severed from your body can ya?”, Suigetsu pointed out. Karin was going into a trap, which meant that he’d have to save her. He’d probably blackmail her and make her finish the mission. “Well than I’m a fun guy, I’ll give you one free slash to do some damage”, Suigetsu said with a smile. “Go on, don’t be shy now”

A laugh snorted from his lips. "Please... you could never beat me. You're a pathetic excuse for a bloody mist shinobi. You let that bitch walk all over you." He pulled his own sword off his back and took a fighting stance, darting forwards towards Suigetsu, slashing the blade forward, but then felt a light sensation in his abdomen. Looking down, he saw blood and them fell, realizing one of his legs were missing. Seeing the blood pour out brought the realization that one of his limbs had been severed. His brain caught up and pain ravaged his body. His eyes widened and he howled out in pain, Throwing the sword forward, cutting Suigetsu, but it did little good.

Suigetsu just held that smile of his as the man continued to insult him. Let him talk all he wanted, talk was cheap and action was great. As the man darted forward Suigetsu shot up his hand and swung the sword by increasing the mass and strength of his arm, easily cutting off the man’s leg as he did so. He smiled as the swords rested on his shoulders and watched the man realize what was happening. “I’m a pathetic excuse? What does that make you!?”, Suigetsu shouted before slashing once last time and cleaving the man’s head right off. “Man, I am good”, he said with a smile as he picked up the sword that was now his.

Suddenly two scents filled the air. Suigetsu could smell blood, and that worried him. “Oh god what is it?”, he asked before turning his head. “Karin”, he remarked before running off. He was going to have to save her again it seemed.

"Y-You cheated!" He yelled just before his head was slashed off. Blood poured out of his body and the blade fell to the ground with a clatter.

Karin panted, up in a tree, blood pouring down from her side in a heavy stream. It had soaked through her shirt, changing it to look more red than black and white. Panting, she completely suppressed her own chakra. The other chakra she had sensed started to disappear. She wasn't going to ask for help. If Suigetsu had to save her, she'd never hear the end of it. Ever. Her eyes narrowed as she looked around the area. There was five of them originally. She killed one of them, and the other was wounded. However, with the three remaining, there was no way she could survive a fight with them. She needed to run, but was losing blood fast. Things weren't looking good... and of course it had to be Suigetsu.

“Cheated? Didn’t your mom always tell you that all is fair in love and war? Besides you are the one that was killed be a weakling, don’t talk down to me”, Suigetsu said to the lifeless corpse before taking off fully.

Suigetsu ran forward, smelling the blood get more and more prominent the further he moved. He was getting close, he could tell that already. As he neared the location of the source he realized that he wasn’t the only one here. “Hello there gentlemen, any of you happen to see a red headed female pass by here?”, he asked with a smile. “I mean I’m going to kill you either way so I’d really prefer some honesty here……anyone feel like being killed last?”

The group of males all looked at one another. "Who the hell are you?!" They glanced over at his sword which was covered in blood. "What did you do with our leader?!" He yelled, stepping forward, drawing his own much simpler sword that was plan and dull compared to Suigetsu's mighty blade. "We killed her, she was in the way and we were told to. Sorry we killed your slutty girlfriend." They all drew their swords. One of them was sitting, holding his leg that was all ripped up and bleeding- it almost looked like his bone was showing. Another not far from him was dead.

Suigetsu just grinned. “Well I’m just another ninja, but to you I might as well be a grim reaper. Nice to meet ya all”, he said with a large grin. “Oh and your leader? Yeah I was taking a practice swing and he got in the way. Hope you weren’t friends or anything”, he added with a laugh before the man drew out his sword and proclaimed that Karin was dead. “Is she now?”, Suigetsu asked in a low voice. They just ruined his paycheck! “I was going to make this slow……but nevermind”, he said before slicing the first man cleanly in half and moving to strangle the other man to death with only one hand. The one on the ground was an easy decapitation. Giant sword, guy unable to move, and it all added up to just a mess. “Bastards”, Suigetsu muttered as he looked around for Karin’s body. They said she was dead, so where was she?

Karin waited until she felt their chakra stop moving and begin to disappear into the ground. Moving in the tree she changed her position and jumped down out of it, landing about 10 yards away from Suigetsu. Her hand was still on her side, coated in blood. When she landed the the muscle contraction caused blood to pour out much faster and heavier. Her eyes rested on him, but she didn't say anything to him. She felt like there was an understanding she was grateful, but didn't want to have to physically admit it to him. "That was fast." She walked towards him, but stopped when there was about 10 feet between them. Karin could heal, but she wasn't actually a medical ninja, making her unable to heal her own injuries.

Suigetsu blinked in surprise as Karin jumped about ten yards in front of him, just staring at him. He knew what she meant to say. She was grateful, but she would never ever admit to it. He didn’t blame her, if their situation was reversed he wouldn’t do anything to thank her either. He saw the wound that she had, it looked deep. When training in Kiri he had to learn basic patch up jobs in case a teammate was injured. “Guess that class won’t be completely useless”, he muttered to himself as he looked at her. He wasn’t going to touch her until she understood what he was doing. “Take off one of your shirts and lay down, I’ll use it to tie a knot to close the wound for now and apply pressure. If we don’t treat it fast you’ll die”, he said simply.

Karin watched him. Biting her lip, she sighed and let go of her side. As soon as she did, blood poured out at a much faster rate. Stumbling, she fell to her knees and winced. "O-Ow..." She whispered, pulling off the black shirt, revealing the white shirt which was now stained red everywhere but the shoulders and the collar. "There's... a village." She pointed, hanging him the shirt. She wasn't going to take off them both, but the black one was thicker and stronger than the white one. "It shouldn't take you long to get there if you run... The..." She closed her eyes, showing that she was in pain and angry at how helpless she felt. Clearing her throat, she tried again.

"The hospital is in the center. It's a smaller village, they won't ask for any I.D."

Suigetsu just watched as she removed the one shirt. It looked like it was made of a thicker material than the white one so that was going to be perfect. He tore it into several strips using the kunai from his pouch before beginning to tie them around her stomach. “This will only prolong things if I don’t get you there soon”, he said in a neutral tone. He was going to have to carry her and run, which would be even harder than before since he was carrying the Decapitator Knife along as well. Once the knot was tied he just nodded. “My running is going to hurt like hell, but better to get your there faster”, he said before lifting her up easily into his arms. “Hang on Karin, we’re going now”, he said before taking off at a quick run which Karin had probably never seen him do.

Karin nodded, feeling light headed, but did as she was told. She held onto him and she lost consciousness somewhere between when he started running and the hospital. Waking up, she looked around. She was in a bed alone, and there was a pair of clothes beside her as well as a towel. There was an empty IV in her arm and the injury was gone. Getting up, she went down the hall and showered, washing all the blood off her body. She threw her clothes in the trash and changed into the ones the left her.

Walking down the hallway, through a long and complicated array, she made her way towards Suigetsu's chakra. He was standing with his back facing her talking to a doctor. "Suigetsu." Her voice held it's casual tone, neutral for some reason. She was standing with her legs parted, hand on her hips, waiting for him. She had a scowl on her face, but it was a normal one that made her look older than she was, even when she had been around 12. Her skirt was ruffled and much like all her other clothing, was black. The tight undershirt was white, and strapless tightly hugging her curves-making them much more prominent. The over shirt was a dark crimson red that was much darker than her hair, which was much looser and came to her elbow.

Suigetsu had made it there as fast as he could, not stopping for a single moment considering that every moment lost was making it more likely that Karin wouldn’t make it. Why did he care anyways? Right before she left didn’t she just call him a mindless fool that didn’t understand or ever would understand anything? It wasn’t the kind of comment that made you want to hug someone and be their friend after all. Suigetsu made it in plenty of time though, handing her over to the doctor’s care.

“Yeah and I just found her like that no one else was even around. Good thing too or she might have died ya know”, Suigetsu lied to the doctor about how he had found Karin. He couldn’t let her find out after all, none of them. They were here on a secret mission and the less that they did to draw suspicion the better. When he heard his name he turned and looked over to see her in clothes that he never could have pictured her wearing before. “Well now, looks like you’re going to live after all Karin”, he said as he took a step forward towards her. “Shall I escort you back to your home since you just woke up?”, he offered in order to sell the deception.

Karin actually smiled at him. It seems as if he'd created a facade for them after she passed out. "That sounds like a good idea. Thanks you." She looked at the doctor and smiled at him as well. As they walked, she pushed her glasses up the bride of her nose. As they left the hospital, she looked over at him. "I didn't give you enough credit." She admitted honestly. "You're not as stupid as I said you were." Looking over at him, it seemed that was the closest to an apology he was going to get. "Do you want to head back towards Konoha, or is there something you need to do?" Things happened so fast, she assumed that he wanted to go back and take care of something.

Suigetsu nodded at Karin’s statement. “Very well, I shall escort you. Thank you doctor”, Suigetsu said with a nod before making his way out with Karin. He loved that people were so gullible. After all who would lie about something like that when the patient could wake up any time? IT was all too easy and he loved every minute of it. He glanced over as Karin said that he wasn’t as stupid as she thought that he was. Good enough he supposed. “Yeah and apparently you aren’t completely defenseless. You killed two guys without my help”, he remarked before hearing her last question. “Yes, I left my prize there”, he said which probably confused her. “The leader chasing you had one of the swords that I’ve been hunting, I recognize the craftsmanship”, he said with a smile. “So once I retrieve it we can continue”

Karin smiled slightly. She wasn't as weak, that meant something to her to. It seemed they never really tried to get to know anything about one another. Looking over at him skeptically. "How do you plan to carry both of them at once? You can barely handle talking with the one you have, never mind another one..." She sighed, giving up. He was a man, there was no point in talking him out of it. he'd never see the logic in what she was saying. As they went through the woods, she led him back to where the sword was. It wasn't as large as the one he was wearing, but there was no way he could carry both.

Suigetsu just grinned. “I might get tired with this guy but this one is much lighter than this guy”, he said as he motioned towards the Decapitator Knife. “I got this all under control”, he said with a grin as they made their way to the clearing. It already smelled bad to Karin’s senses, to Suigetsu it was just more blood. “And here it is”, he said as he stood over the blade. “Two down, and five to go”, he said before attempting to pick the thing up. Something was wrong though. “The hell?”, Suigetsu said as he tried to lift it up again. “Come on…..come on!”, he said in an annoyed tone as he found that he couldn’t even lift the thing. “What is going on?”, he asked as he finally let go. Why couldn’t he lift it?

Karin looked at the blade. It had bathed in blood and was starting to turn red as if it was absorbing the blood it was resting in. "That's disgusting. If you can't pick it up, just leave it. You can't move it." Walking over to him, she tripped over one of the limbs Suigetsu had cut off. Her hand hit the handle of the blade and the entire thing turned black as she swore. It lay on the ground in her hand. Standing up, she picked it up without even realizing it was in her hand. Her eyes widened when she realized it was in her hand. W-What just happened?! What the hell had she tripped over and why didn't she see it?

“This is my life’s goal we are talking here! I am not going to stop now that I’ve done the hard part of killing the guy! Claiming it is supposed to be easy”, Suigetsu said in confusion. What was wrong? None of this was making sense. Karin soon tripped and Suigetsu watched as her hand fell on the blade, causing it to turn black. His eyes narrowed out of confusion. What the hell was she doing? And then she stood up!? Suigetsu’s eyes widened as she lifted it without any sort of trouble. He stood up quickly, the purpose of his eyes seeming even more dark than before. “How are you doing that?”, he demanded as he looked at the sword.

Karin thew it. "I didn't do anything!" She turned away from it. Despite how she threw it, it rotated on it's own and the blade landed in the ground so it was upright. It pulsed, but didn't move otherwise. "Take it. I picked it up. It must have just been stuck and the way I fell loosened it." Moving away from him, she seemed worried that he would attack her for what happened. She didn't want the damn thing, nor did she have any interest in having a weapon of any kind. "Just pick it up and let's go. It weighs the same as a kunai." Looking around, the sun was starting to set and it was just a matter of time before someone found all these bodies and she'd rather not be here when that happened.

Suigetsu’s gaze followed the blade as she threw it so effortlessly. HE didn’t look at her anymore, his mind seemed to be in deep thought. “On no”, he said weakly as his memory kicked in once the excitement weakened. This couldn’t be right. NO! It wasn’t fair! He had trained for this, he had fought the man and taken his prize. Why would it choose her!? Suigetsu slowly turned towards her. “I can’t……I can’t ever pick it up”, he said slowly. “The sword has a mind of its own and is picky about its owner”, he said as he stared right at her. “For anyone else to pick it up is basically impossible…………it has chosen you”, he said after a pause.
