A brand new restaurant in Konoha that has widely starting to become more popular since it's opening day. While it had a slow first day, news quickly spread and caused people to start coming in masses. While it's not completely booked on a constant basis, it's safe to say that this restaurant and chef are not going to have to worry about money for some time. The main floor is lined with a bar area, eating area, large kitchen, and in the back there are even sleeping quarters for the owner and a few workers.

What most people don't know, is that the restaurant has three sub levels, known only to the owner and a few trusted others. Not concealed by chakra, but by old fashioned technology. Since it's opening, no one has ever suspected that there is more to the restaurant than meets the eye.

Hanyou Rakdos
"Here" Rakdos said as he motioned to the restaurant in front of them. "This is the place we shall eat" Rakdos added before walking in and just waited for the genin to follow. IF they didn't, he'd pursue them and make them come. He didn't much care what they were feeling for, this was where they were going to eat today. Yes...they would learn soon enough why they were here.

Rakdos spoke to a waitress for a few moments before getting a table in the back of the restaurant, a VIP sections reserved for special guests. Rakdos had access to it whenever he desired due to his business. "Relax and enjoy yourself. I wouldn't make a habit of eating here if I were you...though you will see this place very often" Rakdos added with a smile as he looked up the menu and started glancing through it.

Kohaku Hanyou Ryou

Kohaku took in the restaurant for a moment. He had never eaten at any restaurants, just simple ramen stands and the like. This was new to him. Special treatment? He thought as he watched his new teacher speak to the waitress and led them to the back of the restaurant. Looking over the menu made him feel curious. Foods he had never seen before littered the pamphlet.

"You are paying right?" He asked of his teacher. He made mental notes as to what he wanted and what he would order as extra for later.

Hiroki Senju

Hiroki was already uneasy with his new professor leading them to a restaurant that specialized in everything. Even going out of his way to point out the 'Local Favorites' section to Kohaku. A man like him having Access to the VIP section of the a fairly fancy and popular restaurant was also setting off alarms, a man like Rakdos was most certainly reviled, and yet the patronage was too far unconcerned with him, as though he wasn't just a regular.

It was a little disconcerting to see Rakdos acting familiar with this place, but even more his lines to not eat here too much were, but they would be coming here a lot made Hiroki nervous... like really.

"I'll have the Soup and Salad of the day." Hiroki requested, in his very simple way. He liked fine food but wasn't too sure about this place, it'd just opened, and yet the opening craze hadn't died just yet, and didn't look like it was going to for a long time.

Hanyou Rakdos
"I am" Rakdos said simply as he looked everything over. "Let's see and I think that I will partake of a nice bit of lamb...bloodies of course" Rakdos said as he licked his lips. Hanyous did love their blood after all. "Some garlic mashed potatoes...and some spinach and artichoke dip sound phenomenal as well," Rakdos said to himself as he folded his menu up. "Let's see where is that waiter..."

Kohaku Hanyou Ryou

Kohaku was immersed in the menu. "I'll have a steak, bloodied, and some venison, bloodied, and......" He heard his instructor order lamb. "Oh, bloodied lamb sounds great. That too... And the catch of the day..." Placing the menu down triumphantly, he awaited to make his order. This moment was trumped by a loud bang and a female voice shouting. Kohaku's stature immediately drooped as he tried to think of an escape route...

Shinobu Hanyou Ryou

The white haired girl moved about town quickly, questioning the people roaming the roads. Her normal hesitance around strangers was lost in her will to find the missing person. She tried to come off as sweet and kind as she could.

After a time, she ended up in front of a new restaurant. She stared up at the building for a moment. So you go and get this fancy food without me? How can he even afford this..... She did not care at this point. She stamped with every step as she slammed open the door. She pointed at the waitress, her voice resounding in the building, "DID A KID WITH WHITE HAIR WALK IN HERE RECENTLY?" The waitress nodded and thumbed to the back where the VIP seating was. "B- But you musn't-" The waitress stammered, but all for naught, as Shinobu was already well on her way to the back. She approached the table and could see the boy trying to weasel his way out of this. Fire burned in her eyes. "WHERE. THE. FUCK. IS. MY. FOOD. HUH?" She shouted at him. She picked him up one handed by his collar and dragged him out of his seat. His eyes were wide as he tried to stammer out the words "N- N- N- This is-" She shook him.

"I don't care! I waited patiently all fucking day for the reward of you failing the bet, while your out here prancing around like the steers and queers of the upper class!" Her words were sharp and each one hit Kohaku like a burning whip. She dragged him outside, while he tried to explain everything.

Outside, Kohaku's body drooped as he was held up but the back of his collar. Shinobu tapped her feet in irratation, blushing slightly. "I see...." Her voiced trailed off as she looked around at the crazy looks people were giving her. "Well, lead the way then." She dropped him. He stood up and led the way, Shinobu close on his heels, staring at the ground, bright red. She was never good in social situations and her insane outburst just made everything unfathomably worse for her. Kohaku slid into the booth and Shinobu followed suit, sitting rather close to him. She tried to sit in a way that made her seem small, her arms in her lap and held to her sides, her head looking down. She tried to think of what to say, but could not conjure up anything.

It would only be after Shinobu's rant and Summary dragging Kohaku from the restaurant that a tall thin man in a suit, minus the dinner jacket but plus a vest and rolled up sleeves with long black slicked back hair, and a perpetual smirk approached the VIP booth, from one of it's many entrances, his eyes quickly surveyed the table as if to study each of the occupants for a moment, but skipping over Rakdos Hanyou because he was a regular. "Welcome new patrons to the Spirit of Fire. What can I get for you? Perhaps start with a drink? Have you decided on your meals yet Perhaps?" As if he'd overheard the whole thing. "Or perhaps you need more time since you have more company."

Rakdos would recognize this man as Jinn Kobayashi the Owner of the Spirit of fire, though he was usually the Chef, he'd hired an above competent staff and could do pretty much as he pleased, weather that be serving, administration, cooking or simply making small talk with guests.

"Rakdos-sama. Did you by chance acquire this as your Genin team?" Jinn asked with a bow, as if to pry into all of the group's reason for sitting around, it seemed that Jinn could pretty easily dismiss the fact that Rakdos wouldn't make this many friends at once.

Hiroki Senju

It wasn't until the arrival of Shinobu that Hiroki payed much attention to Kohaku. The guy seemed scared of his own sister. It was an odd relationship, but as soon as they'd been pulled away Hiroki looked to Rakdos the only other person at the table, it was obviously there was awkward silence between them because of the embarrassing scene. "Well they seem... close." Hiroki tried to break the silence but even he knew that his words only made the situation even more odd.

It wasn't until the girl returned that Hiroki actually got a good look at her, though he really didn't understand her attitude, where she was a lion before when she had a bone to pick with Kohaku and now she was a little lamb, practically sweating with how embarrassed she was, like she couldn't own her own actions. Well... at least she was cute. So it wasn't too much of a loss. Though he wouldn't talk directly to her unless she talked to him first.

It wasn't until the man in the nice clothes arrived and asked for their orders. "Just water for me." Hiroki responded, he didn't want to be at all in debt to Rakdos. "And the Soup and Salad of the Day." He related his order when he felt it was his turn. He couldn't exactly respond that he was on Rakdos team. It really wasn't a choice of his. And he wasn't even sure about Kohaku's sister who had just joined them. Was she a Shinobi even?

Hanyou Rakdos
Rakdos waited as the outburst took place. Yes, he supposed that he should have suspected something like this. Normally siblings were not allowed on the same squad due to the danger of family ties ruining a mission. However, Rakdos could find a way to make this work. In fact...the more he thought about it, the more that he loved the idea. HE smiled to himself as the girl sat down. "Welcome to the squad," the Hanyou said with a fanged grin on his face.

"Why yes it is Jinn" Rakdos admitted as he looked at the three genin. "Don't worry, they might not look like much now but I can assure you by the time I'm done with them...they'll be some of Konoha's best and deadliest shinobi," he remarked before gathering everyone up. "Everyone, this is Jinn Kobayashi...an acquaintance of mine and a friend. He might be showing up now and again in case I need him," Rakdos said with another smile before getting everyone to place their orders before handing Jinn the menus to take them away.

Rakdos turned his face back to his team and looked them all over for a time. "Any of you know what a Hanyou is?" he asked bluntly.

Kohaku Hanyou Ryou

Kohaku sighed as he took his seat. Why did she have to make an outburst here. Our first time in a location such as this, and we are being stabbed by the eyes of those around us. He noticed she sat close to him as usual in public. They did not like being around strangers, although Kohaku had formed a pseudo wall for himself so that he could communicate when needed. He stretched and relaxed into his part of the seat. He reached his arms our to either side, hugging the top of the seats, and place one leg over the other, the ankle resting on his left knee. So these two know each other, eh? And he'll be like a half-teacher? It then registered in his mind what Rakdos had announced.

"Welcome to the team? Just like that? Not even some official documentation or acceptance or any of that bologna?" He asked, choosing to ignore Rakdos's final question.

Shinobu Hanyou Ryou

Shinobu sat embarrassed. I shouldn't have done that. But if I hadn't, he would never had followed suit. Yes! My reasons were pure! But now everyone is staring at me. She despised being the center of attention in larger groups. She ordered a steak, bloodied, and salad, and continued to over think her situation.

Welcome to the team? What team? She looked up at her brother, who was now questioning that statement. He gave her a look as if to say, 'Uh.... Surprise?' She had never imagined being placed into a squad, and it never was a goal. Relying on others whom you just met? What a frustrating situation. Risking your life on someone you do not know in a life threatening situation was worthless. "I... uh..." She stammered. It was not the embarrassment from earlier that had her jumbling her words, but rather the notion that she was about to forced into a team. She started to twirl a small piece of her long, white hair between three of her fingers as she thought. "I guess I accept, although, I don't believe I have much say on this matter."

This whole situation is just odd. I make a big fuss, sit back down around people I don't know, and get forced into a ninja squad. I mean we don't know names or anything... She noticed Kohaku refrained from answering the Hanyou question. Knowing that ignoring was not the best choice she responded with a simple, "No idea."

Hiroki Senju

Hiroki sat quietly and watched Kohaku question their new "Sensei" on his invitation of Kohaku's sister to the team, she wasn't even introduced properly. He couldn't really come to ask her this far into their conversation in case he had missed her name somewhere. Considering his lack of interest here he couldn't help but it a little more awkward especially with answering the question his Sensei had posed to all of them.

Hiroki scanned the company and took accounting of the meals they ordered. He also took account of, what the boys in the park said and, who was related to who. It was quite obvious to Hiroki: who was a Hanyou... and it wasn't him.

"Hanyou are monsters, who drink blood, because food tastes like ash to them, they are the spawn of the most insidious of demons. They rape, pillage, destroy and wreck, with as big an appetite for chaos as for blood." Hiroki looked each of his new 'Teammates' in the eyes, it was obvious that he was pointing out to them that he knew, what they were. "But the person that told me that was full of shit." He added, referencing his uncle who'd told him to stay away from Hanyou, it didn't seem like such a bad idea now. "So please feel free to enlighten me Sensei."

Hanyou Rakdos
"Not at all," Rakdos said in respond to the papers and documents. "Such things will not be necessary, you will not even be given Konoha headbands...and even should you receive them, I forbid them from being worn by this team. Our missions will involve on subtlety and stealth, so the last thing I want are headbands that tell the enemy who we are and where we're from."

Rakdos turned to the sister. "No, you don't have much say in the matter. The three of you will be my students and believe me, you're going to be trained in a new age of shinobi. The three of you are going to rise to become shining examples of shinobi in Konoha. Tales will be told of you, and you will be respected by your village, and feared by everyone else."

After Hiroki's statement, Rakdos let out a little chuckle. "I never said you were wrong," he said before allowing a few moments to pass in silence. "I'm kidding of course. No one quite knows where Hanyou came from, it is merely a belief that we descended from demons. I personally embrace this idea, as it makes my opponents even more terrified of me than I already am. Normal food does nothing for us, only the blood of any living creature will satisfy us."

"I couldn't help but notice that you enjoyed your meals bloodied as well Kohaku," Rakdos said as his gaze turned to the boy again. "Most people would say rare...any reason you chose that word in particular?"

Kohaku Hanyou Ryou

The shining example in a new age of shinobi? Is this guy on drugs? What is he going on about? He pushed the thoughts aside, as he felt asking would only bring about more questions than answers. Also, he did not feel quite 'right' around the new squad leader, especially after the line about no headbands. Why would this be? He understood that he was one of the fastest when he was a student, as was his sister, but they did not seem to have a full squad planned. Bah, whatever. You would get more answers questioning a brick wall, than the leaders of the village.

He could feel Hiroki giving him a look, although he did not physically respond to it. However, he was not a fan of the perception of the young man. He hoped that not giving the boy any sort of reaction would leave an air about him that whatever he was thinking was not true. But now the teacher was questioning this as well. People are so nosy....

"Bloodied meats were a favorite of my father. Over time, it grew to be something that I enjoyed as well, even to the point where meat prepared any other way tasted strange to me." Although it was not the full truth, it technically was not a lie.

Shinobu Hanyou Ryou

Shinobu grew slightly angered at the daggers being stared at herself and her brother by this boy. Who was he? A nobody in her eyes. Someone who was not even worth their time. But he said they were going to be teammates. She was also weary about what the man was saying. No headbands? The headbands are given as a symbol of service. Not being issued one is the same as not giving us any type of ties to the village. A bunch of vagabond prancing around, pretending to be some protectors and saviors that we obviously aren't. She kept to herself though, being a late addition to all this made raising any objection impossible.

She nodded in agreement with her brother. "Is it odd that we took after our late father? Some things grow on you, and then when something happens that tears you apart, does continuing to uphold this connection make you strange? Weak? Suspicious?"

Hiroki Senju

Hiroki wasn't too happy about not wearing headbands. Only the most elite were allowed to get away with such a thing, and they were far from elite. It wasn't too much for him to not want to be here, but being hit with not even being able to wear the village head band and symbol to represent his Village wasn't high on Hiroki's priorities, his skills represented the village as a whole.

Hiroki leaned back and crossed his arms looking down at the table, he was done calling others out for now.

Even with all of the pieces that Hiroki put together and the almost plain as day accusation he'd made about his teammates, if they were like his description, like how their sensei was, it was their reaction to such an assertion that was the best tell to Hiroki, they'd brushed it off like he was talking crazy. It made him seem a little offensive, but Hiroki could live with such a thing, he could come to trust his team fair enough.... Even if they did like their food served in a very unusual fashion and hand the nickname demon.

Hanyou Rakdos
Rakdos lifted his glass of water and sipped from it, feeling the liquid go down his throat. The water itself did little for him, but he enjoyed the sensation of coldness and the chills it brought him. He finished his sip around the time that the two siblings had finished their explanation about their food choice. "Assuming your father was the Hanyou, I have no doubt that you picked it up from him," Rakdos said as his red eyes focused on the two of them.

"You two...how shameful, to hide and run from your heritage like it's a diseased cow" Rakdos said quietly as he placed his glass down. "Lying might work on lesser shinobi, but to lie to a Hanyou? You kids have stones...though I demand that you never lie to me again" Rakdos said before pulling out a flask and drinking some of it's contents, allowing the three genin to see some of the blood that stuck to the edge of Rakdos's lips. He closed the flask and looked back to them. "Whenever we go on missions, I demand that you two carry similar flasks to make sure that you do not lose your strength while we are working."

Rakdos glanced over towards Hiroki. "And as for you...believe me when I say that if I hear any sort of mocking or insults tossed at them because they are Hanyou, you will answer to me for it. If they're weak, slow, or stupid, you can say what you want. But don't you dare insult them because of what they were born as. No Hanyou chooses to become one, we are all born like this and must live with it...and with my training, they will become great shinobi with time. So will you, even though you are not one. I have plenty of training to make you strong."

Kohaku Hanyou Ryou

"Lie to you?" Kohaku scoffed. "I didn't tell a lie just now. Just because your a jounin doesn't mean you can tell me about my life." Having someone who knew nothing about him try to call out his own past as being a lie really bothered Kohaku. Who was this man, who he had met only a couple of hours ago, to call out his past. And more to the point, the silent accusation from the violence-loathing boy itched Kohaku the wrong way. Did he hear demon and immediately go to that? A tribe of people who are uncommon in villages is your first thought? Demon could mean anything, from a killer in their youth to just a ball of hateful vengeance. He just sat back in his seat, with his arms folded across his chest, tapping his right index finger.

Shinobu Hanyou Ryou

All these stern accusations, I guess it was best that we left our gourds at the home... Shinobu was never good at reading the situation in groups, but felt that she needed to move this conversation in a slightly different direction.

"Well, I guess since we are being forced to work together, introductions are needed." She smiled. "My name is Shinobu Ryou, and this," she motioned towards her brother, "is Kohaku Ryou."

Hiroki Senju

Hiroki scoffed at Rakdos. "You're full of it Mister." Hiroki knew he had no right to blame them for their birthright, his own was even more suspect. He wasn't holding anything over on his teammates, there was absolutely no reason for him to lord his own birth over theirs, and Hiroki knew it.

Then Kohaku's sister introduced herself. "It's nice to meet you," Hiroki seemed to snap out of his own forlorn thinking to be a little more polite, anything to change the mood at the table. "I'm Hiroki." He of course wasn't going to include his last name. He hated his family and wanted very little to do with them otherwise.

Hanyou Rakdos
"You're right, being a Jounin doesn't mean I can tell you about your life...being smarter and better is," Rakdos remarked as he looked towards the young Hanyou boy. "Please, you think I didn't do my homework before I took on the three of you? I know very few in the academy know your family lineage, and those that do often try to pick on you with such a weak response from you. When I was your age, I stabbed a kid's hand to a tree before knocking him on his ass," the demon said before having more of his drink again. "Don't patronize me boy. Whatever your nightmares are, are NOTHING compared to the real world," he said before picking up a napkin and wiping his mouth.

The girl at least showed some respect, that Rakdos could work with. The boys on the other hand weren't very far from getting a harsh backhand that might end up breaking their necks. Rakdos only had minimal time, and he wasn't going to deal with bullshit from those that were so vastly weaker than him. "Rakdos Hanyou" he added as everyone said their name.

"Hiroki Senju you mean," Rakdos added as he looked over at Hiroki. This boy was causing the largest headache for Rakdos so far, but that could be molded out of anyone. It wouldn't take long for Rakdos to introduce them to the real world of a shinobi. "How strange that someone of such a praised and worthy house would find shame in his own heritage..." Rakdos said before laughing. "The three of you might just get along after all. So much in common."

Kohaku Hanyou Ryou

"Of course I know nothing of nightmares. Nightmares are illusions of my mind as I sleep. Nothing in the real world will match. Take that as you will." Kohaku was tiring of the conversation already. He and his sister were no conversationalists, so the longer the conversations went, the more uncomfortable he was. He was unsure how to carry the talk longer into a situation, without forcing some unnecessary, irrelevant sentences to the group.

"Senju? Why keep this a secret? You come from a prestigious lineage with everything to prideful for. And don't say your parents, because that is just some bullshit." And there i go, spouting whatever comes to mind because the conversation keeps going.....

Shinobu Hanyou Ryou

Shinobu took a sip of water and took the metaphorical back seat to watch the conversation play out. She had nothing to add, so she would not. However, on the same wavelength as her brother, she questioned to herself why he would try so hard to hide such a historical and well respected clan lineage from them. Just keep your mouth shut in these situations, idiot. She sighed and did a light face palm as her brother verbally questioned and even called the boy out on being against his parents.

Hiroki Senju

Hiroki cast a glare over at Rakdos when the man revealed his name. Something he'd obviously tried to avoid. He hated his clan. "No." Hiroki responded to, "My mother is perhaps the most supportive person in my life. It's the rest of the clan that causes my disdain." It was about as much and as far as Hiroki wanted to take it.

He wasn't interested in the clan's lofty expectations for him, or their meddling in his genes, or their striving for power and glory in a village that was slowly but surely forgetting them. He didn't care what their secret goals were for him were. They couldn't be strait with him from the beginning, so he wouldn't cooperate now.
