It's apparent that something went very wrong during Aburame Ukime's possession by the true Ukime. An Ukime's genetic code becomes incredibly malleable once introduced to the chakra that Yamanaka Ami has affectionately dubbed as 'superchakra'. As it pervaded her form, Destra's body warped harshly into a partial insectoid exoskeleton, but in the process she lost the use of her eyes and her sanity. The moment she was released from Ukime's hold, Destra was quick to develop a lust for feasting on the rotting flesh of humans.
Due to her insatiable hunger and ultimately violent, chaotic nature it's difficult to control her with anything but a display of superior strength, even by the true Ukime. She's generally allowed to roam about with Inuzuka Inu in tow as she pleases until she begins to create a scene, at which point she's reeled in again until things calm down. With recent developments it's difficult to know what role she may play.
A low level grunt in the hierarchy, and a disobedient one at that, Aburame Destra was granted very little of Ukime's powers. Most of her ability comes from her previous experience as a seasoned Aburame warrior and a mutated nasal passage now designed to sniff out chakra like a kikaichu. If one can get around her earth elemental chakra nature defenses and stiff exoskeleton, they'll find that Destra wounds easily and has no means of recovery. She can die, but is easily revived by the power from another Ukime of a higher tier.
