Fighting Style: Being from the Yuki Clan, Asami focuses primarily on her Ice Release kekkei genkai, along with her natural water and wind affinities, combining her nearly unrivaled speed with her phenomenal stamina and chakra control to bring down enemies as swiftly as possible. She has also studied some medical ninjutsu, after watching her teammates die on a dangerous mission. Though she doesn't like to use it if she doesn't have to, she also possesses a cursed seal, which she received during the same mission she lost her teammates.

History

Asami comes from the infamous Yuki Clan, the group of Kiri native ice users. She began to tap into her bloodline from a very young age, and was immediately sent to the academy to train as a shinobi. There, she showed incredible prowess and potential, graduating within a single year and becoming a Chuunin the following year, the youngest ever to accomplish the feat in Kiri. Two years later, she became the youngest jounin.

However, in spite of her prodigal skill, she could do nothing to stop one of her missions from going poorly, when her squad was ambushed by a group of S-rank missing-nin. While the rest of her team was massacred, she managed to get away with minor to severe injuries, the worst of which being a large burn to her right shoulder. The scar has been with her ever since and continues to remind her of that fateful day. Since then, she made a point to study medical ninjutsu in addition to improving her clan techniques, so that she could better help any future teammates.

The burn mark is not the only reminder she has of the encounter, though. One of the missing-nin, a dark figure whose face she cannot recall, bit her neck and left her with a mark that resulted in crippling pain in the following weeks. This 'cursed seal' nearly killed her, but she managed to survive after a long struggle in the hospital. Though at first she struggled with the outbursts that the seal caused, she was eventually able to control it. Now, she uses it as a last resort in battles where her normal skills are not enough, which is very rare.

After the Third Mizukage died sealing the Yamata into a host, Asami was selected to be the village's new leader, a unanimous decision because of her extreme talent and desire to help the people. She now leads Kiri as the Fourth Mizukage.
