There are benefits and consequences to those, and there are those that argue that they hurt and not help (I'm not one of them, just saying) but getting into all that really derails the thread I think.
I'm referring to the fact that candidates are never into it for helping people and rather advancing their careers. |

| Well, you gotta know, the way to get elected is through throwing massive amounts of $$$ around to campaign with. Getting that $$$ requires you get corporate support to cover your ass, so now you have to go and please them, and your politics are being influenced by the desires of those in power and not those that can get your help that might need it more.
If you don't have the money, you can't get elected because you don't have the resources the other guy has. |
